Yeah I don't necessarily know about the candy red but ignot silver, like my truck, would be nice.

I also asked him what these cost and he quoted me at $1075 plus shipping....

For both those light set ups you could be 5-600 hundred in parts, then 400 in labor and paint I guess, not too horrible I don't think, it takes a few hours to open and re-seal.

I think you're right. We'd need to see them on the truck, and the hue of red also has a lot to do. I can kind of see it work going from a dark red to a brighter red.

What do you guys think would look best on Blue Flame? On one hand I say dont do anything crazy - just get some nice well-functioning, bright headlights. Then on the other hand I say - do something cool - maybe black them out? Dont think I would add any blue to the inside.

Matte black on the reflector side, maybe paint the shrouds in the same blue hue as your truck?

Mine is blue jeans, im doing the reflector parts in matte black and the shroud in dark matte grey

Are there any pics of blacked out reflectors that you found for reference?

Bixenon projectors would do both high and low beam. I would assume in this setup since both of those projectors are Bixenon that they probably have the bottom projector setup to operate when the high beams are on. I would think both of them on during low beam operation would be overkill not to mention blinding to oncoming traffic.

Its actually a single xenon for the top row, and then a second xenon. You wouldnt have four bixenon lenses. That would be nice for offroad for sure.

I went with one pair of bixenons, and the bottom (oe high beam) slot will have an led bulb, which I dont plan on using. Thats just a place holder while I figure out how to cancel that without getting a bulb out message.

The round shrouds are too big to fit at the top of the lo/beam reflector, so they end up cutting the top part. To make things symmetrical, they also cut the bottom part. The end result is a shroud that ends up being square, but with a round projector that has better optical properties than a square projector.

I was also adamant about using a square lens with a square projector, but that pretty much tied me down to a single projector and only two choices of shrouds.

With a round lens/projector, I have dozens of options. I went Mini H1 v7.0 because it offers the sharpest cutoff and most output in a size that looks good on a stock headlight. I could have gone D2S, but those get very expensive very quick and its more work to get them to fit. Time was of the essence in my build since I wanted to have the converted headlights as quickly as possible to minimize downtime.

The bottoms are mini h1 v7.0 on round shrouds
I did Mini H1 7.0 with mini gatling shrouds and installed them myself this past weekend. I also liked the wide sharp cutoff (coming from TSX and S2K retrofits I did on a previous cars). The only thing that sucks about the Mini H1 is the rebased non-d2s bulbs. You have to shim them to get a nice beam pattern since the base can throw off the position of the bulb in the projector.

I'll put together a DIY if it's helpful. I took a bunch of pictures throughout the entire process.
