Default Projector Headlights

I've recently got installed Lumens HID conversion kits on my 2015 Screw Sport XLT (http://lumenshid.com/hid.html).

I cant complain of the brightness of these lights but for sure other vehicle are. I got flashed at least 80 time on a 8 hour trip over the holidays.

I know HID are suppose to be installed on a projector headlights and I was wondering if any of you had switch your reflecting headlights to a projector headlight?

Where to buy? how much and pictures would be great

Talk to someone at this site, they will get you set.

They do offer this kit for 200 which might be just what you need:https://www.theretrofitsource.com/co...grade-kit.html

I used this kit and have been very happy, never flashed. With options I was around $400 from the $315 starting price

I took the truck to ford dealer and they told me that my lights a correctly aim. They say that they are meeting the right angle requirements.

I also think that they are aiming too high. I might test it and re-aim them myself a bit lower.

Was the kit easy to install on your headlights? Any cutting?

I guess i would only need the projector since I already have all the bulbs and connection.

You can get different size projectors, so it depends on what size would fit the bulb you have now how much cutting would be needed. Mine were sorta big so they did need a decent amount of cutting. I had someone install them because I wasn't comfortable with all the wiring and possible breaking the headlights when separating them. I would try the re-aim and see if that works, and if it doesn't I would email/call the company I sent you, even if you don't buy from them they could give you some good info.

You're being flashed so much because HID's should never be installed into reflector headlights!. Not only are light beams being sent everywhere (much light having your highbeams on all the time) but HID's also create more heat than conventional Halogen bulbs. I would take those bulbs out as the additional heat will melt the reflector cone that surrounds the bulb to kick light back into the main reflector. You could find yourself having to replace your entire headlights if left in there for too long.

I second the above option of The Retro Fit Source. Great site and good customer service. You'll have to bake and open your current lights to complete the retrofit but the light output will be night and day.

Honestly im shocked that no one is making HID retrofit housings for the 2015/2016 F150's. The only ones I have been able to come across is the Raptor Retrofits with LED Lights.

OP should have researched it and found that everyone will say no to HID's in reflectors... At the very least, go LED. Or spend the bucks and do a complete projector retrofit. And lastly, don't go with blue lights. That's for women who like the pretty color and teen wannabe fans of Fast and Furious lol

Yes I was not aware when I got the HID installed. I trusted the shop where they installed the lights.

I'm looking for a solution to fix this problem. Either by replacing the whole headlight or by inserting mini projectors.
