Yea my dealer in Pensacola FL are pretty dumb also. I don't think they know how to do anything with these new trucks yet, but say they are trained techs.

When I bought my truck they got it from another dealer well that other dealer lost one of the smart keys... If you look at you key status in the center menu it shows how many admin keys there are. If you have two it should show two I think the max is 4 programmed.

Well since my truck only came with one key the dealer ordered me another smart key and when it came in they programmed it. Now my admin keys states 3 keys programmed to the truck and I only have two.

I have brought the truck to them twice and they have no idea and making up stuff to tell me it should be that way. I told them if I want to add two more keys I can't because 4 is the limit.

Any you Ford techs out there know how to remove admin keys and start over?

ok just proved my point... I bought an extra key from ebay for $40 and just programmed my 3rd key that I own. Now my dash is telling me I have a total of 4 admin keys because that key they lost is still programmed to my truck.

Yes, it's easy, with IDS you just erase all programmed keys.

I wish the techs at my dealership knew that. I will tell them that. Thanks.

I guess they need to erase all the keys with IDS and then just program them again...

The key I got from ebay is a full 100% OEM Ford key. (Not the issue) When I only had two keys from the dealer it stated I had 3 admin keys. The dealer screwed up the programming when they added the key they ordered to replace the lost key. I told them right off please take out that ghost key and since then they act like idiots about it. Pretty Sad I must say.

I even caught them lying to me about it.
