Alpine makes some nice systems - but not $3K nice, IMO. My 2008 Cadillac CTS had an Alpine based nav/radio system and it is still one of the most user-friendly systems I've used. The new CUE system is something entirely different though. Not good, IMO.
I like Sync 2 for the most part. I wish the screen was a little more responsive and the processor was a bit quicker, but overall it isn't bad once you figure out the quick paths to all of the functions.
