Default Need Help - Front Camera

Due to some miscomunication between my rep and myself I am kind of stuck half way through a project I was trying to pull off. I am trying to add a stock front view camera to my 15' Lariat with 502A package. I contacted my rep and asked if I had the module (19h405 in the diagram below) in my truck for the front camera and found out I did. He said he would have to re-flash the module after I installed everything but he thought it could be done. So I purchased and installed a new stock grill with the camera housing. The washer tube and wiring harness, but here is where I run into a problem. The washer tube only runs to the top of the grill and the wire harness plugs into the camera but there is not plug for the other end. I guess I assumed (I know, I know) Ford would run the same harness with all the available accessory plugs even if they didn't have the accessories.

Here are two of the diagrams I have been using. I have everything installed in the Camera Diagram. I have the wire harness for the camera (14A411A) but I am afraid my main harness does not have a dead plug available in the location I would need it. Looks like a new main harness is a bit too pricey and a bit more of an install than I was hoping for.

Am I out of luck? Has anyone been as ambitious (ie dumb) as me and tried to do this as well? My rep said they can not do it because Ford does not offer a kit but I am not one to take "no" that easily.

If any one has pics of where their front camera wiring harness attaches as well as the washer fluid tube I would greatly appreciate it.

As of now I figure I have two options. Leave it as is without the camera functioning. The grill looks great. Or reinstall the original grill, sell the parts I ordered and cut my losses. But I am still holding out hope that one of you fine folks might have some info for a third option.

FYI: I have tried the LockPic Air aftermarket route and was very disappointed with the results, which uninstalled and returned. Feel free to ask questions about that, I'll be more than happy to help others too.

Thank you for reading!

I would try to find a wiring diagram from a truck with the camera and see where the wires end. There may be an open plug all the way back on the module. If there's an open plug on the module you could possibly make your own harness for just the camera. You can find the plugs needed online.
There is also the possibility that the missing plug just ties into wires that are already there. In this case you could tie in your camera wires.
If you know any electrical techs, now is a good time to find out what beer they drink!

I would have just got the lockpick and a front camera from ebay. Would have been alot easier and you would have way more functionality with the lockpick.

I thought the lock pick wasn't fully functional and was having issues?

They only had problems with the wireless lockpick. Aka Lockpick Air One reason it's not available anymore... They will have an updated one soon.

But the reg lockpick works perfect.

I was interested in the air unit so I have been emailing them and the last time I emailed them which was about a week ago this is the response.

Plans for that unit have been discontinued. At this time some of our vendors have posted units on ebay, amazon, etc but the AIR unit is no longer and will no longer be available. Thanks

I ran the LockPick Air for a while and I never had an issue with connecting my phone (the air portion of the LockPick Air) but I was very disappointed in the video quality and performance for the front camera. I actually had the LockPick Air installed for 3 months. In that time I had a unit replaced but had the same problems, terrible video quality and vertical video scrolling even on my stock rear camera. When I talked to the head tech after dealing with a number of other people he said to get a refund because the LockPic Air is incompatible with 15' F150, since Ford removed the RCA connectors from the system. Not to mention that any mobile screen mirroring had the same warnings across the screen as the reverse camera, and you could enter nav info while driving but you had to override the system with the remote then change it back after you entered the information which was not very convenient. Needless to say I was a little frustrated since I have taken apart and put back together my center console more times than I wish to count.

So I have been trying alternativves. I see that this method might not work but I want to take it to fruition before I give up.

Does anyone have a link or access to the 15' wiring diagrams?
