Performance in Snow
Im jealous John !
I wait till the roads are about the worst they can be ...... then head to the yard to get the snow plow truck.
My F-150 does better than the the plow trucks !
One has Firestone wilderness AT....did ok but the motor was blowing up and didnt have enough power to spin them ! lol
And the other one has Toyo open countrys they flat out suck.......spin all over the place .....sliding around when stopping.

LOL, takes a lot of work Phil, but you'll get there!!!
so I bought my 2016 XLT SCrew 5'7" bed last March, so I did not have much winter weather to deal with last year. Being that this is my first truck, I do not have much experience to compare it with, but I tend to fishtail quite a bit in this vehicle. Last night, we got a couple of inches of snow, and when making every turn, it felt like I was losing control of the backend.
Even without winter weather, it seems that any kinda of bump tends to make the back end of the truck slip out. Is this something that is a result of having the short bed? I also dont have the bed super loaded up, so maybe adding some weight back there will help?
Just looking for any advice on anything I can do to help with this. Thanks in advance!

As far a the back end slipping out, the factory shocks are garbage. Put some Bilstein 5100s on the rear. World of difference and a cheap upgrade. You can put them on yourself, very easy.

I have duratracs and the truck did decent on some pretty slick roads this weekend.
on a side note, I have hankook ATMs (oe on alot of the 20s) on my Jeep Commander, complete with elsd front and rear, and those things are HORRIBLE!

Mine did alright in snow last year but then again we don't get much of it in our area. When we do it doesn't stay long. Up in Flagstaff though is a different story.
If I have to a few 100 lb. bags of sand will suffice. Since the truck is 2WD only I make it a point to not go places I shouldn't when it is snowing.

I wouldn't try walking up that in dry conditions. That's as steep as ski slope!!!!!!!!!!
