Default Pedal Commander

Hey Everyone,

Is anyone running a pedal commander? if so is it worth it? Thing is like 400dollars, just seems steep and just wondering if there is any real world experience with it.

Thanks

Yes, totally worth it. Doesn't add "power" but sure makes the driving experience much better.

Ive had
2015 Ram
2019 Ram
2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee
now F150....all had Pedal commander.

I've been looking at the Pedal Commander and the Banks PedalMonster.
For less than $300, the Banks unit appears to have more options and safety features. Reviews seem decent.

I was looking at those commanders to get faster launches with my 5.0 when changing lines or similar... then I try to go harder in the pedal when I wanted.... did the same and saved me the $400... and my lariat have adjustable position for the pedals... so no excuses...

For what you're spending on one of those, I always recommend getting a tune instead. Does the same thing but also adds power and for not much more

I chose the Banks PedalMonster for my 2015 3.5 EcoBoost ... no regrets , also have their Derringer and iDash installed. Did not get their exhaust set up have the Corsa sport but did buy the Banks CAI . Spent money over a period of time so the sticker shock has been minimal. Haven't driven anyones else's f150 so I've nothing to compare performance too really don't care knowing how placebo's work . Set up works for me with fun to drive being the biggest gain .

its not the same thing .. these devices increase the voltage of the pedal to increase throttle response .. a tune will give you more power but you will still have the pedal delay .. it may seem similar because when you hit the gas it has more power.. but the delay doesn't change with a tune

Yes and no... Most tunes come with remapped throttle responses so it's the best of both worlds.

1 change and usually not super responsive as the pedal commander type tools that will give you the adjustability
