I get ordering if adding unique stuff like BLIS or other unique add ons.

Just curious, don't really know anything at all about having them built

BTW Cngrats! I also have the SCAB and love it. Awesome trucks.
When I was looking for a Supercab last spring there just weren't many around....literally no Lariats in all of Canada.
XLTs were around but again very few and most were black.
Getting exactly what I wanted was near impossible so I settled a bit.
Supercab are just not that popular, but I need box space more than interior space.

I'm a single guy in my mid 20s who doesn't want kids, so the supercab is perfect for me. Plus I'd rather have the 6-1/2 ft bed. If I got an SCrew in the 6-1/2 ft config I think I'd literally have inches in the front and back of it in my garage.
Those are all the right reasons. Same thoughts I had when I got my first SCab in 2001 (first year of the SCrew?). I’ve got a wife and a pair of German Shepherd now, so SCrew makes more sense... but no way the Harley fits in the back now.

Enjoy your truck!

My first F-150, a 2011, was a Scab with the 6.5' bed, but it was just me and the wife. In the next couple of years, we added 2 cocker spaniels. In 2015, the wife got pregnant so I swapped for a 2015 Screw w/5.5' bed. Not enough room behind the driver's seat for a rear-facing child seat in the Scab. Screw fits all 5 of us easily. I miss the 6.5' bed. When I was looking, I almost got the 157" WB truck, but our driveway and my spot at work wouldn't allow it. 9 months later, I changed jobs and we had a new driveway put in... both of which would allow for the longer truck

OP, congrats on the new truck, and I'm glad you got everything you wanted, and nothing you didn't!

I'll be a little frustrated at the $1000 if I would have had a transmission cooler anyway, but whatever.

Yup, a super crew would just be pointless for me. My Tacoma is a crew cab with 6 ft bed, but only because the extended cab Tacomas are so small they might as well be regular cabs.

Thanks! The ones on the lots were missing things I wanted and had other things I didn't, so it made more sense to just order one.

IIRC, there are several radiators and coolers, and they're all specific to different option packages. So there *may* be an aux. cooler, but it's not THE aux. cooler you'd need to tow/haul max.

I got lucky and found my "unicorn truck" sitting on a lot an hour from my house. It was optioned exactly the way I wanted it (loaded 502A).

Finally got the truck in. Now that I have looked underneath it I am even happier than before that I didn't order the $995 tow package. The "auxiliary transmission cooler" is no longer applicable on 10 speed transmissions. All 10 speeds come with a transmission exchanger bolted onto the front of the transmission. Basically the $995 tow package would have got me a tailgate LED light.

Hmm, that's disappointing to hear. I don't want to mess with my order this late in the game, so it is what it is.

Regular tow, unfortunately. Can't get max tow on a 2.7.

Which is disappointing because Max Tow on the 3.5 gives you so much more for a couple hundred bucks.

I know but was asking if there is no cooler with the Max Tow.
