Oil change
Those of you who change your oil in the 2015 plus models. Do you have to remove protectors, covers or whatever to reach the oil pan plug? And does it create a mess of oil? you know, spilling oil in the parts under the truck. Want to start to do my own changes. I have the 3.3L, 4X2.
I took my truck to the dealer and they overfilled a little past the Full mark. Just called to take it back so they can remove a little bit of oil. Heard this story a few times.

Might wanna just crawl under there and take a look...should be pretty obvious what you're in for. I don't know what a 4x2 3.3 base truck looks like underneath, but I'm betting it should be pretty open & accessible. Anyone with basic skills should be fine.
Oil changes on a 2.7 4x4 are the easiest of any vehicle I've ever had.

EDIT: Fumoto doesn't list the 3.3L on their website yet, but from what I can tell you should have a normal drain plug, not the yellow one. If that's the case you can get a F107 drain plug from Fumoto. HIGHLY recommend.

Ok, I see the thing you call a "diaper", so I guess it's just a matter of removing the screws and it will come out. I also see a yellow plug with a plastic
black pan. So the yellow plug you just twist it ,right? Don't remove it? I'll consider the after market plug you recommend. Thanks guys!

Or, since the OP hasn't even tried to do one oil change yet, one could try changing the oil with the normal plug first.
Like another poster above, other than removing the diaper (just annoying anways), the changes on my 2.7 equipped truck are among the easiest I've ever done. That being said, I had a large open pan (that I've been using forever) and knew that I could slowly let some out before letting it rip. No issues with the swaybar either on my truck. Truck still has the original drain plug that has been reused for 6 or 7 oil changes already.
If you want to spend the money on the Ronin, be my guest and have a great day. Found it not to be necessary for my truck for me.
