Doubt it. Roush likes to drop a positive displacement supercharger on everything.

I had a 2000 Lightning and an 02 Harley. I wanted a new truck along those lines but ford hasn't indicated they will build one and ram says no hellcat truck and even if they did it would be heavy, cost $80k, and get 12 mpg. I got tired of waiting so I built my own. I ordered an xlt supercrew with the locking axle, sport package, lightning-esque 20" 6 spoke wheels. I added the magnaflow side exit exhaust for obvious reasons, 2" lowering shackles, some factory looking stripes, and a whipple supercharger (plus pulley and tb upgrade). Now I'm making almost double the power of my old lightning, getting better fuel mileage, and can carry 5 people. At this point, unless ford can make one with >680 hp for under $50k I'm better off with what I have.

Uhhh, surely you're not going to give such an awesome description of a truck and not share pics?

I highly doubt we will see something like that in the near future. In order to make it interesting the power would be so much more than a truck can safely put to the dirt. Everything has changed since those days. Now the stock 3.5 eco is capable of so much more than the lightning ever was.
I love My Eco and plan to tune it , but it will take a lot to get it to run as good as My stock Lightning.

What tune will you be running? Or have you decided yet? I'm close to tuning mine as well

Probably Livernois. I like their reputation for building safe power.

My 2000 lightning made 340 rwhp and ran a mid 13 at 101.5 mph. There are a handful of tune-only 2015 3.5's making right at 400 rwhp and running mid 12's. I briefly thought about going this route, but ultimately decided on shooting for power numbers more like the hellcat than the old lightning.

The Lightning was underrated , My stock 04 dynos at 365 at the wheels. My best time was only 13.79, but I'm old. I was happy with that.
I've been following the Eco tune results, and it takes a lot more than just a tune to get into the 12's.
Granted, I think the Eco is just begging to be tuned , but I don't want You Youngsters to take the Lightning for granted.
