I second a vote for the 5.2 Voodoo, nothing else would come close. Maybe reduce the weight a little more with some aluminum suspension pieces??

Wasn't the tremor kinda like a lightning? sure it had 4x4 and all but it had the eco and 4.10s. From what I recall that didn't sell well at all. People want the crewcabs.

and I could see the 5.0 ecoboost going in the super duties to take out the 6.2. Hell of a lot more power

I would be surprised if Ford didn't built a truck similar to the lightning in the near future. Both generations of that truck was a home run IMO. When I bought my 04 Lariet, the dealership had 2 still sitting on the showroom floor and I still kick myself for not buying one.

The Raptor fills that void much better in the marketplace than a 2wd performance truck would.

I highly doubt we will see something like that in the near future. In order to make it interesting the power would be so much more than a truck can safely put to the dirt. Everything has changed since those days. Now the stock 3.5 eco is capable of so much more than the lightning ever was.

Dude that was 12 years ago and a warmed over lightning is no slouch. No dubbed in engine sound needed either.

how is the 3.5 so much more capable than the Lightning ever was ? Lol lightning had more power and torque stock than the Eco does , and it's only a pulley change away from a lot more.

I believe the story goe something like this. SVT wanted to do another Lightning, but the Ford bean counters weren't having it. The gave SVT the go ahead with 2 conditions. : It must be at least an extended cab. 2: it must be 4wd. They didn't want to limit the market with a 2wd 2door sport truck. Bam the Raptor was born. They took the only options they were given and hit a home run with it.

More like Hatched, those orange Crew Cab Buggers are pretty hard on the old eyes.

I think Ford will leave the turbo V8 for Roush to sell.

The Tremors didn't sell well because they were way too expensive!

Ford could've easily charged less for what was essentially a parts bin combo.

The ones I looked at were priced the same as a crew cab FX4 with similar options.
