Default New wheels and TPMS

Did you guys re-use your old sensors or did you buy new ones?

Did you have to have the dealer re-initialize them or did they work right away?

Thanks...

For 2015+ they work right away provided they're the new OEM ones (2015+). By "right away" I mean after a bit of driving they sync up. No need to do anything special. Some seem to take a while, but eventually it works. You'll notice the PSI reading's don't change, and then turn to -- dashes, and then the new pressures show up. I have separate summer and winter rim/tire sets and always just swap myself in my driveway.

Same here, I left original wheels/tires complete so they could easily be swapped back. I bought new sensors and everything worked fine without doing anything special.

What they said. Your truck will learn the new sensors automatically. No more TPMS re-learning tool needed.

The new style (2015+) are self learning but can still be trained using the correct tool.

The OEM Ford ones for 2015+ are the ones that pair themselves automatically. Aftermarket ones don't, although last I checked was in fall 2015, so they may have some now that automatically pair now.

Are you guys saying I don't have to do that "learn the new position" dance around the truck when I rotate my tires?

Definitely not if they're the stock sensors.
