Looking at a new f150 5.0 xlt 3.55 rear. Back up camera sync. Dealer added katakin leather 285/55/20 bfg ko2, 2 in level spray in bed liner. There are down to 45,500 on the price. Does that sound high? They are living me 21.5k on my 2010 f150 it has 35k miles.

I think that's a pretty good deal. Do you know what invoice is on that? To me it appears to be below invoice but without looking it up myself I can't truly tell. But after the current rebates it should be about $2500 below or they have more room to move.....

They said they are giving me 1000 under invoice from holdback but there are adding 500 for the level 1300 for the tires 300 for bed and floor mats

Hard to say when the dealer starts adding extras that aren't Ford stock. But to me the price seems pretty fair. You could always go in with $1000 less just to see if they'll budge anymore and if not take the deal if you like the truck.

I ordered a 2016 Lariat. MSRP is 54150. Invoice was about 50300. I will pay invoice minus rebates which were about $3500. Plus I said I'm not paying the $300 doc fee. Anyway the price ended up at 46887 after everything. Similar in difference with what it looks like they are offering you.

TrueCar pricing in your zip code is:

$44460 Above Market Value
$43157 Average Paid ($43227 Good Price)
$41619 Exceptional Price

Katskin adds ~ $1200 installed
BFG KO2 retails $1050 (Discount Tire your area)
Discount Tire credit for the tires you paid for but they kept = $300
2" Leveling kit not more than $200 with alignment

Total add-ons = ~ $2150

$45382 Average Price with incentives

Not a great price but a reasonable price unless you are a haggler. Trade-in value is average KBB so it is reasonable.

You should check TrueCar if nothing else than to review all possible incentives. There are a lot of private cash offers, military cash offers, bank cash offers, etc listed for that configuration.

There's plenty of fat to trim from those markups alone. You're not paying $1300 for the tires unless they give you the OEM tires as well. The level shouldn't exceed $300 either. I think it's a nice truck but you're too close to Lariat money at that price point. The tradein value is good - they probably gave you a better than market value to get you to agree to their excessive price inflation on the aftermarket options.

I speked the truck out on true car with the sticker after all the rebates it said a great price was 43,072. They added leather for 1400 590 for level and 1400 for tires I agree that's way to high. They offered the truck to me for 45,549. The total with true car price plus dealer add on options is 46,272. Discounttire installed tires for the bfg 285/55/20 was 1360. I agree the level is high and I don't know what katskin leather goes for? I guess I'll over 45k even and ask them to do a spray in bed liner that sound fair?

$1400 for katskin sounds about right. After seeing what you came up with on your research I still think your plan of $45k plus a liner is a good offer. All they can do is say no...
