Got my A6 this evening, now it doesn't work...is there a trick to get it displaying streets?

 

Do you have it zoomed in enough to show the street level?

 

Because of this forum I discovered A6 is the latest version but my KR came with A5. I contacted the dealership and was immediately given an A6 card taken out of another 2015. Truthfully, there are no noticeable differences. BTW there was no trick to making it work other than inserting the card.

 

Yeah. I'll try it again tomorrow. The dealer took the A5 so I can't Change back.

 

Lucky you. My dealer told me they'd comp me $50 but eBay still shows $150

Are you seeing an error message or does the map display just look different? Please provide some details about what the screen is showing.

So sorry. I haven't been back to update. Somehow, when I got back into my truck a few days later, it was mysteriously working correctly...so I guess it needed to reboot or something. Thank you for following up though.

 

I didn't notice any differences either with the maps, but nothing has changed much where I live. I did notice more POI's for the new stores and restaurants. Even though the A6 is new, map updates are typically a year behind.

 

My 2015 f150 Platinum with a build date of Jan 23, 2015 came with A5. Roads built 3-4 years ago weren't show up. I talked with the Inventory Manager at my dealership and mentioned that I was unhappy and expect the most updated maps with my new truck. I also mentioned that the dealership switched it out for other customers.

They swapped my A5 for the A6.

 

No problem! I'm glad everything is straightened out now.
