Had a weird situation happen the other day. got in my truck, and the center console display screen didn't light up with the Ford logo like normal....Started up the truck and it still stayed black, but I could hear the radio playing (tuned to the last station I was listening to). I attempted to change the channel by pushing the various buttons below the screen, but nothing worked. The only button/dial that worked was the volume. Tried turning on the truck off and on a few times, nothing seemed to fix it. Decided that it was something I'd have to take to the dealership to look at, and continued on to my destination. I put it in reverse, and the camera came on as normal....but then shifted into drive and the backup camera stayed on until I hit about 10-15 mph. Then the screen turned blue. Then each time I slowed to 10-15 mph the backup camera would come on. It was very odd. As I came out of the store I had gone to, I decided to check the fuse box, just to see if anything looked abnormal...as I lifted the cover, I did hear a clicking sound once....sounded electrical?? I think. So I just checked that all the fuses were seated properly, and closed up the box, and hood. Got in the truck and everything was back to normal....Ford logo popped up, and when I put the key in the ignition, everything was working as if nothing happened.

Not really sure that I did anything in the fuse box, but wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar?? It's been a few days now, and I haven't seen a re-occurrence.

FYI Soft Reset: hold volume button and right search simultaneously.

Hi Dave254,

I suggest monitoring it for a few days before trying any resets. It's possible that the SYNC fuse readjusted itself during a bumpy ride. Keep me updated!

Shaay - I started up my truck last night and the touch screen came up somewhat normal, and the radio came on and was playing. However when I attempted to push a button on the screen or any of the buttons below the screen (the memory buttons, or the tuning buttons), nothing seemed to work. It was as if the screen was frozen. I hadn't left my driveway and decided after a few mins to turn off the truck completely, and re-starting it. Upon doing that everything seemed to go back to normal.

Everything today seems to be working appropriately.

If you still experience issues, you'll have to go to the dealer. Keep me posted.
