I feel the same about the column shifter with center console... one of the best combo's. It was one of the determining factors that had me decide on a 301a XLT rather than a lariat.

 

My 350 is column shift / center console and I like the huge storage bin and 4 forward cup holders.

 

Other than 2 extra cupholder in place of the floor shifter, I thought the storage bins were the exact same no? I have the floor shifter and the storage bin is huge and deep. I can fit my notebook in it with room for 5 more...

 

It's actually an open bin, with a "secret" bottom, not cup holders, in place of the shifter. Otherwise, they are the same. Very handy spot for wallet, cell phone, etc.. While I do miss that bin, I still prefer the console shifter, now having had both. I just moved my stuff down to the mid-level side bin on the console.
