Default Missing APIM Blocks

Completed the 3.0 to 3.4 single file upgrade the other day without issue. However, afterwards I decided to scan the latest FORScan spreadsheet and try a couple changes but now the APIM shows no 7D-09-anything in FORScan where I know it was there previously. I've tried two different wired adapters and different versions of FORScan all to no avail. Anyone else seen this or have any ideas? Everything is working fine otherwise.

If you were on 3.0, most likely then your APIM doesn't have the firmware calibrations to show the higher APIM settings.

This. He's on an older APIM so the calibration/firmware is old and not showing 7d08 or 09

I don't think that's accurate. I spoke with Livinitup and he has a 2016 that has these blocks.........mine is a 2018. Then again, his firmware is likely different too.

I have a 2016 XLT. Original APIM (non-NAV) did not have the 7D0-08 and 7D0-09 Blocks. My APIM went out under warranty, and the new APIM the dealer installed had the 7D0-08/09 blocks. I then decided to replace the APIM with a NAV APIM. The NAV APIM does not have the 7D0-08/09 blocks. I later updated the NAV APIM to SYNC 3.4 and still don't have the 7D0-08/09 blocks. In my case, the original APIM did not have those blocks so not a big deal. I thought the APIM supplier changed for Ford in 2018 so may be a difference in which supplier provided the APIM, and how SYNC, the APIM itself and the calibration/firmware all interact.
Might want to look at Livnitup's spreadsheet in the APIM section and see of any of those settings for 7D0-08/09 apply to your vehicle or not. Chances are those features those blocks control don't matter on your truck so would have no effect either way. Or, maybe you look at those features and discover something is not working. Either way, may be a place to look for more information. Good luck!

I have the full printout of the spreadsheet showing what the blocks values are defined as in this case it's 7D0-09 is the ability to adjust the speed limit (VSS) then there's another value that can be changed to up the (VSS) to 140 not that I am planning on breaking the laws of this land but I am intending on taking my EcoBeast to the Houston Motorsports speedway to show a buddy of mine with a dodge hemi 5.7 limited just how fast my truck is with a few bolt on add ONS CAI MBRP exhaust and the only think that will get me I'm thinking is he has the ability to get to 120 somehow through ALPHA something the Dodge version of FORScan and I can't anyway thanks for the info though I appreciate it

as a thought…. Find a cheap APIM that has the 9th set of values. If you have the VIN of the donor vehicle you could look up the original as-built values on the Ford web site to ensure it has the 9th set of values Install it temporarily for the Dodge challenge. I was under the impression that some 2018 and newer APIMs had the additional values. One also has to wonder if there is a limit if the field/value is not present. Can you gain access to a track to check this out? Good luck, I don’t have any other ideas

I don’t really understand what you’re trying to accomplish, but just be aware that changing any values in the APIM AsBuilt will not allow your truck to go faster or perform any differently.
