Not required no. I used a thin pipe to do a little squeeze and it popped in.

when i installed the 6112 at full hight truck went up almost 3" i was suprised they said 2" in the paperwork

what im experiencimg at full crank standing still the nose of the truck will pull down. suspension doing it most likely because its too high

anyone else experiencing this

The answer might be here somewhere, but I cannot find it.

Do you have to disconnect the axle shaft from the hub when installing a leveling spacer?

I've done leveling kits on other vehicles, but never dealt with the vacuum hub assemblies. If I can leave that assembled and slide the coilover out I would feel a little better about doing it myself.

Once you disconnect your break lines and undo this bolt, it should drop straight down and you can pull the strut.

I've seen videos where it is done both ways. I'm going to do my install tomorrow, and plan on leaving it hooked up unless I don't have enough clearance to get the strut out.
