did you have to get rid of the tow hooks for the push bar install?
Yes, the bull bar mounts in the tow hook holes.

It is a Platinum. I too am surprised the 2.1" setting on the shock actually gave 2.5" I haven't checked it since the install to see if it settled down a bit. There is nothing like a puck spacer - only the 5100s.
Thanks for your reply, Jim. I'll betchoo like how the truck drives, now. I absolutely loved my 5100s. I only removed them to install 3 years later some 6112s up front (using the 1.5" additional height setting) and 5160s at the back. I keep weight in the bed and didn't want the front higher than the rear...
I thought I'd made a mistake in changing from the 5100s after my first test drive... the new setup was, I thought, way too firm. Now? I wouldn't go back, but... just. If I were to do it all over again for a purely road-driven F150 I'd be very happy with the 5100s and how they work. But since I'm spending more time off-highway I went with this latest setup. Again, it's very firm but with true Bilstein excellence, it's not at all harsh. Just amazes me.
Those are 10 ply's and my 3rd set. I'm happy with them. Good ride and overall just what I need for my use.
Talk to me about gas mileage. That's my worry with the 10ply's. My mileage already sucks with 275/60-20's P-metric, which weigh a good 20lbs less each.
P-Metric sizing here, too. That wheel, the Montegi Trailite 17 X 8.5, 0 offset, weighs just 25 lbs. The tire, a Firestone Destination A/T2 285/70-17, weighs 43 lbs... that's 68 lbs each wheel/tire assembly and is something I can easily handle, unlike the 91-lb combo I tried for awhile.
Another factor affecting MPG is the tread pattern; an M/T has a lot of rolling resistance. Too, axle gearing when combined with 2"+ gain in overall tire diameter from what the truck was shipped wearing will affect MPG. My next step is to re-gear to 3.73 or 4.11.
All I need, though, to restore the factory "effective" final drive gearing is a 3.55:1 r&p.
Can anyone help me identify what size wheels these are. Also, what size tires are on them. I am trying to figure out what tires to put on my 22's and I really like this look but can not find ANY information on the size of wheel and tires.
