Default Which leveling kit??

Thinking about leveling my SCab and see there are several leveling kits out there

2.25" Readylift $230

2.5" RoughCountry $100

2" Tuff Country $140

and maybe more.

Only the Tuff Country does not have you pull the front axles out of the knuckle, which saves quite a bit of time on install.

Comments on these, or others?

Thanks!

Does the Auto Spring kit slightly inboard the strut like the Rough Country? I like their 2.5" simply for that fact. That being said, every bit less you can stretch the arms(2" vs 2.5") is better for CV, tie-rod, ball-joints.

Just stopped by AutoSpring in Boise, I am having them install their 1.5" leveling kit in the morning. Who better to install it than the manufacturer!

Very reasonable price installed as well, including alignment...about $225 total.

In talking over their various height leveling kits, they are getting a number of calls from folks that installed the 2" & 2.5" kit and are now having to put spacers in the rear, as the rear leaf springs do sag a bit after a while and are ending up with the front end higher than the rear.

This is not a problem with the AutoSpring kit, as it will happen with any 2" + leveling kit if you do not put spacers in the rear.

That is why he recommend the 1.5" kit if you do not want to raise the entire truck higher or use blocks. Even after the leaf spring sag you will not end up nose-high with the 1.5" front spacer kit.

Had the 1.5" leveling kit installed this morning bu AutoSpring. Took 2 guys a bit less than 1 hour, including doing an alignment (toe is the only thing required), centering the steering wheel and a test drive.

Gained just under 1.75" of front end lift. No difference to the ride. Looks much better now, still have 1.25" of rake which is prefect. Add the trailer and shes all level.

Really nice quality part.
