Default Leaking from inside tailgate panel?

I took a buddy wild boar hunting last night, loaded the hogs up on the tailgate to drive about 1/2 mile to our "processing area" and noticed when we were done I had "red fluids" leaking all over from the outside of the tailgate placard (King Ranch) - not the bottom where the tail gate meets the bottom / bumper.
I will admit we had a little "mess", but even with the factory spray in liner, it seemed to leak inside the panel, and ran out under the placard (halfway up the tailgate) down the paint to the bumper... I expected it on the bumper, but not starting half way up the closed tailgate going down... It sure made for some interesting looks driving home last night...

Is there a alignment hole or something in the middle of the tailgate panel on the outside?

King ranch the appliqué is a panel attached to the tailgate, so there will be holes galore behind the name plate.

And the panel on the inside of the tailgate should have been removed and sprayed separately so it will also allow fluid to seep through.

So in other words I have "red fluid" inside my tailgate.....
I think I may have to open the step and spray down inside to try and get some of it out.....

Side note: even though I took the truck to the power wash place before I got home (to keep my wife happy), there is now a pool of red "stuff" on the garage floor... Guess I am in trouble again. ha

KR for hog hunting? Bet it's going to have an interesting scent in a few days. May find a buzzard or two sitting on the tailgate.

If you don't have wild hogs up there, be glad... They take over and get out of control very, very fast......
