When I got a buck in the truck, I look forward to the blood leaking out!

I hauled some top soil in my 2015 once. Weeks afterwards, I was still getting dirt coming out around the tailgate handle and Ford emblem.

I don’t mean to revive this but... I’m in the same boat now with my 2017 lariat. My 2014 never had this problem. I loaded 4 deer up in the bed and in the tailgate this past Sunday and now I can’t get “red fluid” to stop leaking out from around the ford emblem and around the tailgate handle. Its been sprayed about 8 times twice at the car wash. I opened the tailgate step and sprayed and literally every hole I could see. Still leaking. Did yours ever stop? Side note for those that find this through search I left blood on my bumper and it appears to have permanently discolored the chrome so maybe don’t leave it over night lmao.

As you face the rear of the truck with the tail gate down, on both sides there are 2 holes appro., 3/8" in diameter. You can use a nozzle, and spray water in there, and wash out the blood, if it's inside the tailgate.

Why not just lower the tailgate, pulle the panel off with the 8 screws and clean the interior??? Seems simple, so maybe I'm missing something. One of the reasons I went with the bedliner approach.

I did pull the panel and sprayed her down. Still have blood trickling from handle and ford emblem. It was a good thought though I hadn’t thought about that even though it seems obvious haha. I guess maybe just one day it will stop.
