Maybe it wasn’t connect properly when they re assembled it.
Yeah I don't even have a sunroof, I think its the A/C line that flooded my passenger side floorboard, I replaced the battery so they know its not just the battery going dead. I have when they run a diagnostic on it they find everything. im only 80 miles from my warranty expiring.

There's no such thing as a "diagnostic that finds everything". You can test the computer system...that runs the car, and that runs ABS brakes, and the body control module that runs wipers and other accessories.

But there's no such thing as some overall "diagnostic" that just tells you what's wrong with anything on the vehicle. Even the diagnostics you CAN run don't do that, they merely give you fault codes, and it's up to the individual to break out the shop manual and do the tests for each code and pin down what caused them.

Something like a water leak causing electrical issues, that will sometimes render the pinpoint tests irrelevant, with the shorts and open circuits that can cause.

Unhappy 2016 F150 Lariat Leaking A/B Pillar

I’ve been having on an ongoing issue with my 2016 F150 leaking from the pillar into the driver’s side floorboard. After reading through this thread, I can see that this is an ongoing issue with many Ford F150 owners. In the past, I’ve taken it to a mechanic friend of mine who has disassembled the covers on the pillar and cleaned out the drains - this process is time consuming and getting old.

My questions are, has Ford resolved this defect?

if not, are there any simple solutions to this problem?

Thx

There is no solution to sunroof drains getting stopped up on any type of vehicle, short of leaving it a garage all the time.

However, on 2015-16 and some early 17's, there is an updated front glass that has a different seal on it that allows less water to get by, so the drains don't get overwhelmed in heavier rains. As the seals age, they shrink a bit, and on some they will start passing too much water and even if the drains flow fine, they can still start to see more water than they can flow. It gets back up and eventually overflows, usually at an A pillar or the overhead console switches.

They all pass a lot of water even when brand new, and that's normal. But there's a limit of what the drains can handle. They don't even need to get totally blocked, just slowed down, and there can be a leak.

The newer trucks, I've noticed they've changed the seals quite a bit,, and they pass much less water. The glasses with the new seals can be retrofitted into the older trucks, (they bolt right in, direct fit) but they are expensive, and the rear one requires track removal to get it out...I don't remove it totally, but you do have to drop it down.

I appreciate the time and effort on your response.
My garage has turned into a storage center for the family's excesses so parking it in there is no longer an option. Lately, I've been throwing a tarp over the roof when I know it's going to rain ... that helps.

What i didn't mention in my first post was that when my truck is parked in the driveway, it sits underneath Pine trees and I'm wondering how much that's contributing to my issue.

As far as buying a new factory windshield, I'm currently on my 3rd replacement. I drive on the freeways allot and the rocks have wreaked havoc on my front glass

I appreciate your time and effort.

I didn't mean the windshield, sorry. I'm talking about the sunroof glass. That's what has the updated seal.

and yeah, most any tree is an issue with these.
