Would the pano sunroof on the 18’s be the same as the 17”s or did they fix this issue on the 18”s. I just got my 18 and it’s gotche sunroofs and all this is making me nervous.

Moonroofs and roof sheet metal is all the same. Realize that the seal of the roof to the moonroof isn't water tight and you WILL see water entering the drain channels where the two panels of glass meet. This is normal. Unless you have a kinked/clogged drain hose, you'll probably be just fine

Add me to the list... I have a 2016 XLT Sport with the panoramic moonroof. I bought it 6-1-2016 and haven't had an issue until now... 11,500 miles.

It's has been heavily raining all day... I drove the truck earlier today... and nothing. Then drove to Costco... and nothing. After loading the truck at costco, I opened the drivers door... and the Husky liner was completely filled with the water... the dash was dripping.. my legs where getting wet every time I turned. Water was pouring from the 'A' pillar grab handle.

Since it's still pouring, I grabbed a bunch of tools and headed for the local Middle School for a covered work area. I dried everything I could... pulled a few panels and water was everywhere. My drivers side carpet is pretty wet too.

I'll be checking every hour for the rest of the night.

I plan to video any future leaks... I have some pic from the first event.. but never thought of making a video...

Default Pano Roof Leaks

I have a 2016 Platinum 4X4 with Pano Roof. Does anyone have Photo / Videos of the Drain holes and I can blow them out myself. The truck is still under warranty, I just do not want to leave it there for 3 days to 3 weeks..
I have Searched the Forum and could not find any, your help would be appreciated. I live in Hurricane Harvey country and all the dealers are fat and happy selling brand new cars and service is still backed up for weeks. Over 1 million cars were Totaled in Harvey as per the Insurance Adjuster.

Your symptoms are exactly the same as my 2016 Lariat. Mine has been at dealership twice for same issue..... Noticed front passenger floor carpet was wet. Could hear water sloshing about while driving.

I pulled front passenger kick panel and sill plate off and found lots of standing water. In fact the entire harness under that sill plate was submerged! Brought the truck to the dealership under warranty (twice now) and both times it was "clogged/kinked sunroof drains" as the stated root cause.

I'm personally convinced that all of the 15-17 trucks with the pano roof will eventually have this problem. The pano roof seals let too much water pass by and with that water comes debris which will eventually clog the drain lines. There's nothing they can really do otherwise, it's clearly a design flaw on these. I am completely frustrated with mine as I'm just waiting for it to happen again (especially since it's now fall in here in the Northeast with leaves/pine needles falling everywhere).

BTW - my dealership has been great about trying to make this right. They even replaced the BCM on the second event because it looked as though it had gotten wet - It's behind the passenger kick panel. They also gave me a loaner while truck was in the shop for this.

IMO - All 15-17 F150 owners with the pano sunroof needs to be on watch for this issue. It's not a question of IF your truck is affected but WHEN.
Well my 2017 Platinum with the pano roof must fall into this group, I bought the truck in April 17. When vacuuming the truck two days ago, the rear carpet passenger side fell very damp, or even wet. When I lifted the floor mat out of passenger front to vacuum, the under side of it was very wet, as in you could see water. Most all the carpet under the mat was very wet.

No where is the head liner wet, nor can I see any where water is running down to get in the truck. But passenger side is wet.

MyF-150 4X4 Platinum is back at the Dealer for the 3rd Time. They are acting like mine is the only LEAK they have ever heard of. This time it has been 8 days and I have video of where it is leaking in, but they are NOT interested in looking at the the video that shows exactly where it is leaking. Anyway they have me in a DEMO Lincoln MKX, it is OK. I would just rather have my truck fixed as it is in Warranty for 5,000 more miles and then I am on my own. The Leak occurs where the front and back glass meet. They are changing out the rear glass. Hope it works. I rarely use the the pano. I have seen a F-150 that the owner had "Rhino Lined" to seal the leak...

Default 2016 F150 Sport sunroof leak

Let me join the party, my 2016 with 75000 miles randomly got a mind of its own, hazards flashing alarm chirping lights going on and off. Brought it to the dealership they said it was the sunroof drain backed up (according to the dealer I’m supposed to get those clean periodically??) the water corroded the wire harness and computer (sorry I forget the actual name) the computer they have in stock, the wire harness is on back order. Trucks been at the dealership for 2.5 months now. Supposedly the wire harness are not in supply. As kicker it’s not cover under warranty.

Im going into the dealer tomorrow and see what they have to say. Im getting a new vehicle beginning of 2023 just wondering if I can limp it till then. any info will help

Hey so the issue was “ resolved” Turns out it was my drains for the sunroof. Guess they where clogged and backed up into the truck. I’m in mass they fixed it back in may, last week we got our 1st real rain storm and I got water again so that’s that… I’m going to see if it’s that internal drain hose. Maybe it wasn’t connect properly when they re assembled it.
