I'm on the fence about pulling the trigger on 2019 XLT, supercrew cab, 302A. MSRP is $50 600, it got an offer 38700, slightly over 4200 out the door with all the taxes and fees. Ideally I'd like to get below 40 000 total, but I don't know it that's possible.
Any opinions?

With the 2019 order window closing on July 31st, I just placed a factory order today for a 2019 F-150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4.
I was looking at placing an order for a 2020, but with the rebates and incentives it was almost $5,400 cheaper to order a 2019.
Northwest Ohio
$60,470 MSRP
3,185 Dealer Discount
5,000 Rebates and PCO
$52,285
175 Doc Fee
25 Title Fee
$52,485 plus taxes, 13.2% off of MSRP

Did your dealer give give you a price on a 2020 order by chance? Trying to figure out how much under invoice is possible with a 2020. I know the rebates won’t be that great in the beginning. So far the best I can find is dealer invoice. Also told my Private Offer of 2K can be guaranteed to be honored even though it would expire by the time the truck could be delivered if I order the truck.

Ok, thank you, that’s what I figured. I was also told I could get any incentives in effect at the time the truck was delivered but I expect those incentives will probably be financing incentives.

I hate seeing this happen to Buyers.
EDIT: Sorry, I double checked and you're the Northwest OH guy. So you would have only got the Dealiars around that area to go to Invoice (7% TDDP). Still a sure $1,000!

No need to read through all that. Who has the time? Offer the dealer $1500.00 below invoice and start there. I could have ordered two new F150's for between $1000.00 and 1500.00 below invoice. They would not go any lower. That right there is the bottom line here in SW Idaho.
Both of you don't provide enough information. Take the time to read from my first Post #3051 to at least #6000. It'll give you great insight regarding price structure and how you know you're getting a good or got one from a previous purchase. You'll also know what documents are necessary to get the numbers you need to make the calculations in order to come up with a percentage. Different areas throughout the US, which you'll read about, have differences so you'll be able to determine what Dealiar Discount is reasonable for a particular area and what a good deal truly is.

You're in TX and you got seriously hosed on your truck order. Your focus on the rebates just made some Sales Gnome a nice commission off Gross.Your deal comes out to a 5.11% True Dealiar Discount Percentage (TDDP). TX Dealiars typically will go up to 10% TDDP with some good shopping & negotiation skills. You potentially gave up an equivalent of about $2,500. Even worst case scenario, getting them to go to at least Invoice that would have been $1,000 more in your pocket.
I hate seeing this happen to Buyers.

About $1,600 below invoice for a leftover 2018 Police Responder plus $245 doc fee. Of course, being originally ordered for a municipality, it had to be re-invoiced for retail sale, and it was off of THAT invoice that I got that discount, but the dealer openly admitted that between all that fleet to retail shenanigans, crediting and re-crediting they themselves weren't entirely sure what they paid for it. It is what it is, I'm comfortable with the price and with the truck, which is all that counts.
