IPod Issue
I have sync 2 and listen primarily to my ipod via the USB connect. This happens only happens sometimes, usually it starts on the same song I turned the truck off. It will stop ALL sound from the ipod if I let it play a whole cd until the end and I have to re-plug it in and wait for the f-150 to recognize it again before playing something different.
I agree with 2014Screw. Check to see if you have shuffle or repeat turned on. For the contacts, you can turn AUTO PHONEBOOK DOWNLOAD off in the PHONE settings: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-...th-sync-3.html

I've had a lot of issues with my iPod interfacing with my Sync 3 system (difficulties recognizing the iPod upon start-up, randomly disconnecting during song play, becoming "frozen" with Ford logo on iPod, etc...). Sometimes it starts right up and picks up where it left off, other times it starts up at the first song alphabetically. It may be that my iPod just needs a software update (it's an older "iPod Classic" that hasn't been updated in years), but I am hesitant to do that because every time I do that it seems to mess things up more often than it fixes them. When it works properly, it's great. Unfortunately, it's been a "hit or miss" thus far. On a side note, the connection between the Sync 3 and my Galaxy S6 has been flawless so far.
I have used my iPod Clasic and some days it would work, others days not so much. No point in updating it because it's been years since there was a new update for it. I now use an old iPhone 4 and it works well. I can't find podcasts sometimes unless I explore the device.
My iPhone 6 always hooks up with the Bluetooth, but I never use it for tunes or podcasts.

Well, I spoke too soon.
It seems that when I get in the truck after an extended period, the truck reloads maps, contacts, etc. So, it must kick the last song out of some sort of memory cache, and starts all over. I disabled contact updates, but Stync is still reloading all sorts of stuff after the truck sits a while.
