Default IPod Issue

I would really appreciate someone's help overcoming these iPod issues. Even the wizard son calling his old man "challenged" can't figure it out.

In my last truck, the last song would start right where it stopped when I started the truck. Now, it ALWAYS starts at the first song in the "A's" on the iPod.

Also, why does the truck have to download contacts from my phone EVERY time I start the truck? Sometimes I get in and need to make a call. No... Two minutes later, it will let me.

Thanks in advance.

I absolutely cannot stand the fact that it plays the first song in the list automatically. Biggest pet peeve about using my phone for audio.

Mine picks up where it left off also. It only loaded the phone book once.

well I posted about this some time back.....my truck does not "re-load" the contact list each time.....but it does re-start the play list alphabetically as Smokewagun describes above....I wrote Ford a letter about this but their response back was surprisingly (to me) unconcerned and basically non-responsive. I view this as a potential safety issue....because many of us reach for the device to get back into a play list (while moving out of the parking lot).
I use an iPhone 6 with most recent software........does this either bluetooth and/or wired to lightening cable....to be candid I prefer my former 2015 with that version of sync and navi because the music always picked up where it left off when I shut down the older truck.

Yeah, mine is a 2016 with Stink 3. Are those who have no issues Sync 2 users?

Make sure repeat or shuffle are not on both the Sync and Ipod at the same time. That might be the issue

Kind of sounds like a Scrapple proplem, not a Ford problem. I have no similar issues on an Android phone.
