how replace keyless pad
If you are replacing because of the broken trim housing- I purchased a Dorman key pad off Amazon (Much less than OE), and then carefully removed the housing and snapped on to my existing key pad assembly, snapped back into door. About 10 minutes.
I have done this replacement, what a PITA. In the video above, if you notice once the switch is pulled out of the outside door trim, the wiring can't be removed. If you notice behind the switch, there is a rectangular hole in the door that the wiring isn't routed through, but I think it was actually intended to go through that hole from the factory, and the factory cut corners and didn't route it properly. On mine, I ended up cutting the wiring harness on the old switch, pulling it all out, and reinstalled running the new wiring harness through that hole. Everything lined up perfectly this was, but still a PITA to get the plastic clips attached to the harness installed in their proper positions (just because it was hard to get to and you couldn't see what you were doing. i ended up using a mirror to get everything installed correctly. Took about 2 hours to get what seemed like should be a 15 minute job done.
By routing the new switch through the rectangular hole behind the switch, you can get the entire switch harness and connectors though the hole and it actually fits better (without any pressure on the back of the switch as there was before).
Good luck!
