Reverse camera lense replacement?
On my 2016 F150 5.0L the image coming from my camera seems rather foggy. Its definitely not as clear as it once was. Has anyone replaced just the lense before?
It has leaked humidity into the camera. the camera is not difficult to replace, I bought my camera off Ebay, I had to use the Forscan software I already had to run the camera calibration to turn the guide lines back on.
The lens is part of a molded glob of camera body, I doubt replacement of just the lens is prudent.

That's what I initially meant, not the actual lense.
Would it be better to go OEM? I've read a couple reviews about ones from Ebay/Amazon turning their image on the screen upside down. Wasn't sure if that was a problem due to aftermarket or not.

I'm also having an issue with my rearview camera on my 2015 SCREW Lariat. I'm looking at purchasing a replacement camera from Amazon, if anyone has any recs. Also, must I get FORSCAN when replacing it? I replaced the camera in my 2011 Taurus when it was having issues with no problems. I only have the rearview camera and not wanting the 360* view. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I had the same issue a few months ago. I removed the camera and cleaned the contacts on the camera and harness and doubled up on electricians tape to keep moisture out. Though you are correct on the lens cover: it will get foggy in there if too much moisture stays there. So far I have been lucky and your correct: no way to clean that. The dealer wants a pretty penny for it and not sure about after market: I read those reviews also. It appears in my case it was corrosion on the contacts creating the issues.
