New owner here...just got my first F150 a month ago and love it. Thanks to all of you for the tremendously helpful information.

Now my turn to contribute: if you have the panoramic sunroof, when you press the open button it auto opens about 3/4 the length of the front panel. You can press the open button a 2nd time and it will actually open the rest of the way so the full length of the front panel is open. A warning though, which is probably why Ford designed the auto-open to not go all the way, is that wind buffeting gets pretty bad at speeds above 40 mph.

If you crack the rear window with the sunroof all the way open, it makes things a lot better.

^ This. I will sometimes just crack a rear door window instead.

But if you turn on Max AC, and then press the Recirc and AC buttonssimultaneously, a "hidden" climate control screen comes up!

Back up camera remains on when going from Rto N – disengages at D

Rear Camera Delay: Defaults to OFF. The RCDcontrols when the backup camera turns off. The backup camera defaults toshutting off when you switch from reverse into any gear except PARK.

You can change that by setting the "Rear Camera Delay" to ON.
The camera will remain on in forward gears until your speed reaches 6mph.Helpful in tight garages

Has Anyone with manual temperature controls tried the "hidden climate control screen"? I tried doing this on my 2015 XLT 502A and couldn't get it to pop up. Sounds pretty novel, but I'm interested in seeing.

It works every time on my 16 with sync 3, I'm not sure of its only a sync 3 thing.

Sounds exactly like the difference.

That brings up the next topic:

What exactly are the main differences in Sync 3 and Sync 2?

Who has a write up for that?

Who has pictures?

Sync2/MFT has the 4 quadrant display where SYNC3 is more icon based. SYNC3 is built by Ford using QNX/Blackberry firmware where SYNC2/MFT is made by Microsoft for Ford. SYNC3 will have phone app integration in the future. There are definitely a lot more differences that I am leaving out.

Went to a very large mall used it to find my truck in the parking lot, forgotwhere I parked. Also used it to send directions to a restaurant and severalother places from inside the mall.
What app are you talking about. I tried using the Sync Destinations app but it says I need a Sync Service Account. When I try to sign up for that I'm told my vehicle (2016 F150 with 502a) doesn't qualify.

Wow, surely I won't have to buy a 2016 to get Sync 3. Is this a firmware upgrade deal or is it hardware related?
