You talking to me? Tires are as hard as my back can stand.. Open tailgate?? Why? Cap door also? Wouldn't having to keep going back to pick up the stuff falling out add to the overall gas cost to get to cottage?
Will I get in trouble with PETA if it's the cats or chicken in cages that fall out?

If Ford wants to get better mpg maybe they should get rid of this big truck look and go back to the nice 2002 body shape.

Costs nothing to signup and this stops the ads in the middle of the posts if you are signed in , but you have done this as you have posted. The right side ads are what pays the bills.

Maybe you can offer to pick up the cost and we can all be ad free?

Easy partner. I'm joking . . .

As for the 2002 thing, you may have a point. I'll say something though, my 2007 Ridgeline V6 never got over 20mpg under any circumstances. My dad's 2000 V8 Tundra ditto(a normal size truck). I think you're correct that the platform is HUGE. Today I like it. I still think Ford would do well to make a normal size truck to compete with the Titan, Tacoma and Colorado. If they still made the Ranger, it would be bloated like all cars and probably be I sweet size rig.

Not really after all there was a HINT to Ford, a TIP about tire pressure and a stupid TRICK that having to go back to pick up stuff that fell out of your truck cuts your trip gas mileage..

So we covered everything in the thread title!

Now I'll agree that your post is off topic!:

Ok, here's a "back on topic" tip. (actually, more of a discovery...)

I found out today, my back up camera will stay on indefinitely if I come out of reverse, and stay in neutral. Discovered this as I dropped my son off at soccer practice.....I was backing out of a parking spot, when the coach approached me for a little chat, so I just popped the shifter into N while we chatted, about 5 minutes, and I noticed the rear camera view was still on my screen. So, I sat for another 5 just to see if it would switch off. Nope. Not until I dropped back to D.

Could be kind of handy if you're in a parking lot waiting for someone coming from behind, or just to secretly people watch!

Default backup camera

While we're on it;
Check out the Backup Camera settings:
Camera ON/OFF. Defaults to ON. OK.

Rear Camera Delay: Defaults to OFF. The RCD controls when the backup camera turns off. The backup camera defaults to shutting off when you switch from reverse into any gear except PARK.

You can change that by setting the "Rear Camera Delay" to ON.
The camera will remain on in forward gears until your speed reaches 6mph.

I find this helpful when I'm pulling into my now "too small" garage.
I use the red lines to know when I've cleared the garage door.

That's pretty cool,

Default Door locks?

I'm noticing that whenever I have rear passengers, they can't open the back doors until I hit the driver UNLOCK button. Is this the child locks? Anyone ever set up or turn off the child lock feature?
