Found this courtsy of Billy Mulek to extend your key fob remote starter range.

It works if you put the remote under your chin. You get more range, don't ask me why but I've tested a number of time. Just hold the remote under you chin and hit the buttons.

This sounds like that trick at the office, when someone put up a sign saying the Xerox machine now had voice control and to talk loudly after hitting the start button.....

I know but no, it has been verified by several new Ford owners in another thread. I just thought it should be included here.

Some how by touch a biger mass of your body than you hand it makes the your body into an antenna to extend the signal reach.

Go figure.

I can't lock my keys in the truck and use keypad, which I'm used to doing in my old F250. Is there a way to disable this feature?

I've been locking my FOB in the truck and using the keypad exclusively without issue. Only time I bring in the FOB is if I think I'll use remote start the next morning. Aside from that, it stays in the console.

When I get out, I press 7/8 9/0 at the same time and it locks it. To get in I use my code.

What range are you expecting?

Page 55 of the owners manual says expected range is 33 feet (10 Meters)

Default pop tailgate with keypad

If you enter your code.on door and push 3/4 unlocks back doors(if you dont have all doors selected in settings) and then if u push 5/6 it will pop your tailgate as well.
