Default High engine and idle hours?

I just purchased a used 2015 F150 5.0 with just under 27,000 miles on it. I purchased it from a dealership and figured I was getting a great deal on a XLT FX4 with the low miles for the price. I later found out while flipping the the displays that my trucks info reads 1500 engine hours and 830 idle hours. Is it me or does this seem extremely high? Is there something to be concerned about?

Here is my data 3106 miles 116 run 20 idle multiple mileage, run, idle by 9 and should give you a ballpark idea.

I'm not much help here. I don't let my vehicles idle much. 1500 engine hours for 27,000 miles is a pretty low average MPH. My commercial vehicles often were between 35 and 50 MPH after a long life of use. Colder climate vehicles and commercial vehicles often have more idle hours. Is it from Canada? Or maybe a pipeline worker's truck? That would explain it.

You own it now anyway. I'll bet 99% of vehicle owners don't wear out the engine during their ownership anyway. Save some gas and only let it idle if you really need to . When the truck has 150,000 miles, and you only have 1000 idle hours it won't look so weird.

I have a 2015 with 63k miles purchased new in October of '15, I feel like I have let it Idle a lot, I would let my truck idle for 20 min. or longer rather than shut off and there have been days at work that it has never turned off and I only have 522 Idle hours with 1867 in "Engine hours".... Comparing it to me I would have to say it was most definitely someones work vehicle of some kind.

But I seriously doubt you will ever have problems due to it.

Thanks for the input guys. That's helpful! The truck is from Canada and could of possibly been from commercial use. That would make much more sense with the low miles and higher Miles's either way it's a super clean truck for a great deal so I'm just going to drive it and enjoy it

would any of you guys walked away from a 2015 Screw xlt fx4 302A package, 27k miles for $31,000 solely because of the hours situation? The interior and exterior is just about flawless.

I don't think I would have ever looked. And in my many years of buying cars and trucks, it's never been on a check list. Electronics and diagnostics are great these days but I wouldn't let them get you concerned about something you weren't concerned about prior.

Enjoy the truck!

I would not spend that much for used, with that many hours, and I'd spend more for new instead. I was happy to finally find my truck when I did, with 2 on the odometer (yes, 2) and it still had plastic on the seats, steering wheel, screens, door trim etc... No, I'm not lying. Cheap used sofa, used coffee table, etc, sure, but that much on a truck, used, no.
