Question Help with Tail Gate lock

Hey all!
I have. 2015 F150 SCREW
The tail gate was locking when I locked the doors.
I just went on a 2200 mile run and noticed it was no longer locking.

Have I deactivated the auto lock feature somehow. How wold I get my tailgate to lock?

I read in the Owners manual to double click the lock button on the FOB to lock the tailgate and that don't do it. I am clicking twice within 30 seconds.
I did a few searches here, and found no answer.

clicking twice within 30 seconds isn't double clicking. Double clicking is clicking twice within 1 second lol

I understand that and I do appreciate the one reply after several days.
I am just stating it as written. Of course after messing with it over and over I did just as you have graciously recommended. Still no locking of the tailgate. I acknowledge that this is a whole new world from the 96 Exploder that served me soooo well. I really would like to resolve this issue. If anyone could please recommend anything I would be glad to give it a try. I guess the manual says 3 seconds, my bad ! Still no luck.
Oh and Berty, I am an avid home brewer that lives on a barrier island and fishes the salt off my skiff a great deal. I guess the Screw makes the trifecta!
Thanks Again for the bump.

Do you have a reverse camera too? If soo make sure the connector by the spare tire, is fully seated!

I had the same issue after installing my Ford tailgate assist. I forgot to Reconnect the harness.

Just a thought but when I bought my 2015 screw (used) a few months ago my lock didn't work either. The connection under the truck had come undone. Once I traced it out and found the two ends and reconnected them everything worked fine.

Thanks a lot for the input folks.
I see 3 harnesses there between the bumper and spare tire.
All three a tightly seated. Any other thoughts before I schedule to take the vehicle in for repair at the dealership?
Thanks to those whom have read his very boring thread, regardless if you had any suggestions.

I know it may seem odd, but do you have push-button start on your truck? If so, the keyfob has to be several feet from the tailgate before you check to see if it's locked.

Locking the truck from the keyfob and then walking to the back of the truck with it in your hand or pocket will just allow the tailgate to be opened.

Nope all are connected and tight.
I hate it but I guess it's a trip to local dealership for repair.
Thanks a bunch!
Oh and no push button start.
