First off, thanks for any help I'll get here now or in the future.
Laid a refundable deposit on a 15 King Ranch (so they say) that's a couple states away. I pulled up the window sticker and it's in french...lol. I know it's a Dearborn build/Canada sold. The dealer sent the build sheet and between that and the pictures, I have some concerns.
Advertised as a King Ranch but the build has the Lariat package, I also see no badges in the photos. I know it has a sport type package that eliminates the chrome, but it seems like a Frankenstein or the two different trims. I'll include the link to the dealership, pics he sent, link to the French window sticker. I hope all the links work and you guys could educate me. This will be the first time I've spent over $10k on a vehicle. Thanks again!
I think that pertains to new retail. Regardless, it's not a KR. If you want out of the deposit, you have grounds and I doubt they'd put up a fuss considering it's mis-represented. Still it's a nice truck and maybe they'll come down some more due to the advertising situation.
When I was truck shopping I noticed more than a few Canadian trucks for sale all the way here in New Mexico. I was always under the impression Canadian vehicles were not built to the same safety standards. either way I steered clear and finally bought New in the end. That is still a nice truck
I purchased a 15 Lariat Sport with nearly the same miles 6 months ago for less. I also would never purchase another Canadian built vehicle. Unless you don't mind things like it always defaulting to KPH on the digital display, limitations in available Sirius features and most likely a previously removed speedo cluster with an overlay poorly installed over the KPH portion of the speedometer.
Some people will tell you that the trucks are exactly the same between US and Canada but they most definitely are not.
Do yourself a favor and look a little more for a US truck.
