Default Help with a Leveling kit

New 2020 XLT owner here. Been driving pickups for 25 years now but never really got into customizing. Bought a new
Ford a couple weeks ago and have been nosing around the internet and seeing all of the customization guys are doing
on these things and I thought I would get into it also. So...leveling kits. I've been looking at new coil overs but not sure which way
to go. I looked at the Ford Performance Tuned kit. Found that for around 1200. I looked at the RC kits with just the front for 300
something or 700 for front and back. Or the same Ford kit tuned by Roush instead of Ford, that was about
1200 too. Not sure which way to go here if someone could show me the right path to go down I would greatly appreciate it.
Do I need front and back? Is it worth it to replace the back? Am I better off going with Ford parts? I just want it leveled. I'm not
an off roader. Just want it to look nicer........

If you’re looking to level then all you need is the front. I always recommend coilovers and not spacers. As the coilovers will give a better ride. You can get rear shocks too just so you can have the same brand all around but it’s not needed.

I picked my lariat fx4 on Thursday and been researching this as well. I liked the roush fox set up. They say it improves the ride quality. So we get the look and a better ride as opposed to just the front end with no ride benefits.
its a little hard pill to swallow seeing 300.00 for the look and more than double that for the look and "alleged" ride quality. (The **** we do for looks)
but I'm leaning towardstowards system front and rear

Ok....thank you for that. As far as which set. When we talk about these kits is it a get what you pay for kind of thing?
I mean I can get the rough country kit for 700 bucks for all all 4. Or the Ford kit for 1200...twice as much. Is the twice as much
worth it? It is Fox and from what I read Fox is supposed to be good stuff....

Yes Fox is pretty dang good. But for your set up honestly you won’t feel much of a difference in ride quality between Fox and RC or any other reputable brand. Get what you feel comfortable investing in. Read reviews, get pros and cons before you buy.

The higher you go up front the more need for a rear lift is necessary, to maintain rake or to sit level. Otherwise it will appear to squat in the rear.

If you go as high as 2.5" upfront you're diving into the category of less forgiving ride/handling qualities. If you go above 2.5"...well you just shouldn't.

Common rear end work is as simple as removing the spacer that is there now with one a little taller (the one you choose is the one necessary to achieve the desired look). You probably need new u-bolts to make up the height difference.

FOX products come with a really expensive sticker. ha
They do make a good product but you're more paying for a name than quality.
Bilstein shocks are knows to rust beyond recognition in the span of a single winter if you live in a salty region.

A good option that is recommended by many is the Ranco Quicklift coilover. New shocks/coils. Fully assembled and ready to be installed.

Right now the truck is 22.25" in front and 25" in back. That's from wheel center to to the fender well trim. So if I do a
2" level I should still have .75 of rake which is fine. Then it won't look too squatted when my boat is on there.

Bilstein 5100s. Great value, upgrade to the suspension front and back, and you get your level.

I would just go with 5100s unless I wantes to spend the money to step up to a 2.5" dia setup. IMO

Considering the truck is brand new I'm going to stick with the OEM parts. I found 2 different sets though.
One from Ford Performance "Ford Tuned" and another set "Roush Tuned". Anybody know what the difference
is? The shocks and struts are the same Fox brand.
