I'm looking at Phillips bulbs. I hear good things but haven't tried them myself.

Don’t bother just swapping halogen for another halogen listed as “brighter / whiter.” You won’t notice enough of a difference to warrant spending the money.

the stock halogen bulbs / housing combo suck.

Morimoto XB Hybrids... Expensive? Yes. Vast improvement over oem halogen? Yes.

The factory bulbs are 'long-life' and are technically the dimmest halogen bulbs you can get, but as mentioned, even the shorted lived brighter halogen bulbs can't save the crappy headlight design on the F150 for years and years.

I have, in my last truck. They are marginally brighter than stock bulbs.

Recently purchased a 2018 XLT also and know that the lights will need improvement and plan to goto Morimoto XB. More than I want to spend but I definitely hate poor lighting and in general these are well reviewed. Luckily at least with the summer long days and not driving much at all at night, I can put this off until fall when the days get shorter.

I would spend the money on upgrading to LED Headlights. I recently installed Alpha Rex Midnight Edition on my Lariat and it's Awesome! The kit come with conversion harness kit for Halogen to LED. Kinda pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Morimoto 2 stroke 3.0 Bulbs. More pricey than most, but they are amazing. They hold the factory cut offs, super bright, and never been flashed at.
