Default Headlights

As you can see there's a flexible white tube in the headlight.

So I just bought this truck and one of the accent lights on the headlights is burned out, the dealership ordered a new one but I am starting to think that these may be an aftermarket thing that the previous owner did, so I am hoping that one of you and help me out with this, here's a few pics of the headlight, thanks for any help, it's much appreciated.

The white tube looks aftermarket or retrofit, headlight is also painted to match.

That is definitely not original. Looks like someone opened up the stock light and painted the internals and added that flexible LED strip. The white part should be chrome, or black on the SE trims.

I’m surprised someone would go to the effort of opening the light but not doing a proper projector retrofit for better light output. The stock headlights are trash IMO.

Looks like Genie's new home. Put some doll-house furniture in there.

Thanks for all the info guys, pretty much what I thought, funny thing is that the dealership(Acura not Ford) had no idea it wasn't the original headlight, I'm sure they just ordered what originally came on the truck.

Is there water residue on inside the headlight too? Looks like it leaks water in?

The oem headlights have good aim and spread, the problem is woefully inadequate output. Do the bulb mod, the headlamps are pretty good for not being projectors.

That's not exactly a fair statement, the projectors Ford put in my son's Fusion are worse than the 150 halogens.

Yeah I noticed that also, I'm probably going to have the dealership put the original headlighs back in.
