Default Headlight upgrade

I am a semi-new owner of a 2015 Ford F 150 Lariat and want to upgrade the lighting on my truck. Is it possible to swap out the factory bulbs with LED bulbs in the current housing? I am looking for a cheaper way to get better visibility without spending hundreds on a new housing set, for example the Axial Headlights with the LED running lights? I like the look of the LED running lights, but have heard the light output is poor. I am very inexperienced at this...any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!

Simple answer is yes.

Easiest way I know of to find which leds to use is to have a look at this site https://www.f150leds.com

A lot of options out there for LED bulbs. See the thread below for good reading on the subject.

Buy all the gimmicky LED bulbs you want. You will *never* get the required cutoff and lack of glare from an LED bulb and a halogen housing. You will always blind oncoming traffic. Some bulbs are supposed to be better (read: suck less) but that's it.

If you want to do it something approximating right, your cheapest option is a set of Anzos (which are projector) with an LED bulb. You technically won't be DOT legal, but you can get a very clean cutoff this way.

Sharp cutoff and no glare can be had with LED's. Quality built bulbs and proper installation go a long way.
There are several supportive and co-operative sellers who do on vehicle application testing.
Diode Dynamics
Headlight Revolution
also have a lot of information and testing results.

Diode Dynamics SL1, LEDs. Not cheap, but you usually get what you pay for. Myself, I've got them Hi/Lo, and there are others here that have them as well.
If being flashed by other drivers is any indication of bad alignment or glare production, bad pattern or what ever else anyone can come up with, I honestly can say, I've never been flashed with these, and see very well. Great improvement over the OEM halogen junk.
