so what causing this? Why does it do that? And how can I fix it ? I don’t want my headlight to turn on as soon as I put on gear and not be able to use the auto function or turn them off

Your truck was manufactured for export to Canada. I can tell because your door sticker has metric units with US units in parentheses. Those are DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) which are required by law in Canada. There are many threads here in this section of the forum on eliminating forced DRLs on Canadian F150s re-imported to the USA. You need FORScan and an ELM adapter to perform the changes.

Edit - Here is one thread.

I meant, the ones that are built for Canada. That’s right, no Windsor plant anymore.

I don't think Ford ever made F150s in Windsor, but I could be wrong.

Yes,, you have the correct adapter.

Go to the FORScan sticky thread at the top of this forum. See Post #1. The attached spreadsheet tells you how. There is also likely an "easy" method in FORScan as well but I can't confirm that..

Thank you again I was able to turn it off now it’s functioning like it suppose too. I disabled the stop/start auto feature. I also disabled the door chime and the dinging before starting the truck. the fake engine sound and I activated the Bambi feature and put the battery charge to 85% instead of 80 and changed my splash screen. Anything else you recommend ?

some people say to put the battery at 95% what’s your input ?

I love the global windows for those hot days. Auto fold in mirrors if you have the electric fold in type, and I also like the extra blinker time when using the soft touch turn signal to change lanes, mine blinked only 3 times when I bought it, now it's set at 7.

it doesn’t get too hot here much so I am not worrying about the windows. I don’t have the electric fold . I don’t think I have a soft touch. I have regular like blinker that I move and it stays on

do you have the battery status at 90? Or 95?
