Default Fuel pump control module?

My 2015 F-150 Lariat Supercrew 4x4 (2.7 Ecoboost) will not start and is tripping code PO627. Other websites I've looked at indicated in previous generation that that one of the first option is I should look at is the fuel pump control module because the aluminum body will rust and malfunction. It is located above the spare tire on the frame, I cannot find anything indicating that the current generation has this part. Anyone have any ideas of where to start?

Thank you, do you know where the fuel pump control module is located? I cannot get eyes on it.

Did you even bother to open the docs I posted? There are very clear pictures of the location

I changed the fuel pump driver module, it did not fix the problem. I also checked all the fuel system fuses and relays, they all looked good.

I found if I bang on the bottom of the fuel tank I can get the truck to start, but it stalls out.

The next step I am thinking about dropping the tank and replacing the fuel pump assembly, anyone have any thoughts?

Did you solve the problem? I am experiencing an identical issue.

I did not feel I could drop the fuel tank myself, so I took the truck to my friend's fathers garage. Before he dropped the tank and changed the fuel pump he pounded (pretty hard with a sledge hammer) on the bottom of the tank and the truck started up and ran. We waited a day later, after sitting outside in below freezing temps and again the truck started up and ran well. I had already ordered the fuel pump, so I just held on to it and thought if I experienced the problem again we would drop the tank and change the pump, but luckily I have not had an issue since and it has been 6 months. I did put some seafoam in the tank also, but I think the pounding on the tank is what fixed it.

Thanks for getting back. In my case the truck died, I put the boots to the tank and it gave me just enough life to get her home, then quit again and would not start.

I had looked at all the threads in the previous gens with the control module dying, I investigated and found that they moved it from under the spare tire up onto one of the cross members, where it was less likely to get corroded and I could not find any posts about anyone with the current gen having issues w it.

So I dropped the tank, pulled the fuel pump and put 12v to it, nothing.

I just replaced the fuel pump assy tonight, really wasnt too bad a job, and all is well.

Thanks for the diagrams! Do you happen to have one to show the location of the fuel pump on a 2015 crew cab?
