Do you have these same files for a 2016 5.0L? I can’t find them? Would it be the same?

I beileve I am having a similar issue with my 2016 f150 fx4 with the 5.0. I do not hear the fuel pump at all when ignition is turned on and seems to take abit longer to start than it should as well.

My truck will at random times misfire at idle for a split second, engine then shakes, almost stalls out but manages to save itself at the last second. Only happens while idling for longer periods of time and typically at red lights.

My truck will randomly not start sometimes as well but will crank nice and strong. I am also curious whether the location will be the same on the 5.0 trucks or not and also what would the part number be for a fuel pump driver module for a 2016 f150 5.0 super crew 5.5’ bed?

EDIT: Often times after starting my truck to drive it the wrench light will come on and then randomly disappear a few hours later after it’s sat for awhile. When my truck doesn’t start it will also throw the wrench light until it finally does manage to start and then it disappears again for awhile. When scanned the Code just says it’s something with the “starter relay circuit” or something like that. Which is why I am certain this is my exact issue as well.

I would really appreciate a reply, but I do realize this is an older thread already. I joined the forums for this exact reason because I have similar issues with my f150. I would really like to get going on getting my truck starting every time I want it too and idling nicely at all times. I do not like being left stranded when it won’t let me start and I do not like a rough running engine.

Thanks in advance! -Lorenzo

I just barely ordered the fuel pump driver module for my 2016 f150 5.0 and it appears to be the exact same thing in the same exact spot. Cost me $50 Canadian. Hoping it will fix this same issue that I’m having with my truck

Edit: I ordered directly from The local Ford dealership. I looked around at other stores and they couldn’t find any that were available. Ford had some available so I ordered one. The part has a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty. I will let you know the part number once I have received my module.

it’s in the same exact spot. Part number for OEM Ford driver module (for 5.0 atleast) is: FU5A-9D370-JA

Did the fuel module fix the issue?

After replacing my fuel pump driver module a good few of my issues were fixed.

Cranking but not starting? Fixed.
Random wrench light? Fixed.

As for my truck roughly idling at times and stalling out occasionally at red lights that ended up being the Dreaded VCT solenoids. I replaced all 4 of them right aways and got new plugs just to be safe and haven’t had any issue since.

The only issue I have yet to fix on my truck is my alternator. The whistling noise I was hearing is alternator whine because Ford alternators have a tendency to pop off diodes apparently. Getting them rebuilt is better as upgraded parts get used. Buy a new one and it will most likely happen again sometime.
It never crossed my mind it could be my alternator,I just assumed it would be a vacuum leak somewhere but nope!

but yeah other than that my 5.0 is basically good to go now 👍🏻

That's great ! I've already had my vct , phasers and had them do the plugs while it was in. After my second long trip started acting up again. This time no codes and no warranty. Ford has be able to find the issue.
