Default Front alignment with leveling?

I have a FX4 XLT Screw and wanting to add a level kit to the front only, not add any blocks to the rear. I have stock 20" chrome wheels with BFG 275/55R20 tires. I do not plan on upgrading tire/wheel size in the near future, but maybe slightly larger tires once these wear out. I am trying to decide to go with 1-1/2" or 2" for the front. I want the truck to be level, with the back just slightly higher for loads etc. (any thoughts on this?) When installing the front level kit, I have seen many saying on here that the front needs to be re-aligned. I read on a post a while back (and can't find it) that someone had "marked" something before installing the kit and the realignment wasn't required. Anybody know anything about this? Or if the realignment is absolutely necessary?

go with a 2" and call it a day. Back will still have some rake and it'll look proportionate

Yes it must be aligned. I took mine to the Ford dealer, they screwed with it for 2 hours, charged me $99 and told me oh btw it isn't right we don't have the right type of alignment rack. needless to say I was not happy! If you don't have the right rack why take the work, and why charge me for it! They told me it has to be done on a scissor style alignment machine. Found a local mechanic with one, charged me $69 and it is perfect.

I went with 2" Autospring, simple to install, about an hour and a half. Still some rake to the truck. The only thing that will change is the toe. Drove it to Town Fair for an alignment, took them about 20 minutes and $39.00.

Looks Great! What did your fender to ground end up at front and rear?

I needed camber and had to purchase a camber kit for a 2.5" spacer in the front. I also have RWD so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

What do you mean you have RWD? You mean it a 2 wheel drive truck? If so maybe that made a difference. 99% of the trucks leveled since 2004 only need a toe in adjustment because as you raise the front it shortens the tie rod ends.
