Default Frames on F150

Hello all, as a question is there any difference in the frames between models / wheelbases / options on the 2018 trucks : such as HD or high strength frame? Thanks in advance.

Yes, HDPP frames are thicker.

There are LD light duty (.087 max thickness), HD heavy duty (.1 max thickness) and HPP heavy payload package (.11 max thickness) frames depending on configuration and options.
Do a google search for "esb2018-f-150-sprcs.pdf" it has a frame specs chart for all configs.

The chart is pre-2018. They made some frame changes on the Max Tow for 2018. However, I didn't know that it got the full HPP frame. That's cool!

I just checked mine. 18 screw 4x4 with 5.0 and tow package. Not max tow. Mine says HD on it.

What determines which frame a truck gets? I'm curious because my truck is a 5.0 SCrew 4x4 with the heavy duty frame. Pretty basic truck with the only options being 301a, FX4 and sync.

many factors seem to affect frame choice
engine choice
drive 4x4 or 4x2
tow options
payload packages
Most of the choices except tow packages can be matched to changes in the GVWR in the payload chart.
