Anyone know of a good measuring point or data location (on the truck) to factually determine what a truck has?

Same here, anyone know where to find this info? I checked a copy of my window sticker with all my trucks details and couldnt find any frame information at all.

Got it on the sticker. The sticker shows LD, HD, or HDPP, and combined with the chart data we can see what we have.

Thanks,

I know this is an older thread...
But I wonder how they can keep the 5 star crash test rating on all F150 models, when there are 3 different frame thickness gauges...
Unless they don't test all models of F150's with differet frames?

Maybe they use the lightest duty frame for the testing, with the thought that the heavier frames will perform at least as well.

The body/crumple zone design probably has the biggest impact on crash performance.

So I would imagine for say the 145" WB SCrew 4x4 that the 3.3 and 2.7EB get the LD frame, the 5.0 and 3.5EB (along with the 2.7EB PP) get the HD frame and 3.5EB/5.0 PP/Max Tow get the HPP frame? (Not sure if you can get the max tow or PP with the 5.0 so if not, that obviously would not apply) Although the max tow does not increase payload or GVWR anymore, I think someone who previously posted said they had max tow and HPP frame so...
