and you would be guessing correctly... on a side note there is another thread on replacing yours with a digital cluster

I want to see the locks engage when putting the tranny in reverse or drive instead of 12 miles per hour.

12V (Powerpoint) outlet can work with power off, 110V can't. Can't add NAV to Sync 3, you could enable the climate menu on hers but not everything will work .

I know there is a lot of talk about the tilt mirrors on reverse. I had time this afternoon to test this out. After setting things up I tried it and things worked but I got the clicking. I then selected the left mirror, put in to reverse and adjusted where I wanted it, then shifted to park and hit the #1 on my door for about 5 seconds or so. No beep but tested and it worked. I then did this for the right mirror and it it worked.

The only problem I had was I had to select which mirror I wanted to tilt down in order for it to work. It would never do both of them at the same time when putting it in to reverse. I have not had time to play around with things as I have been busy all day but wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts

REVERSE TILT/DIP AND AUTOFOLD SIDE MIRRORS
- Requires Motorized Mirrors to be installed (except for reverse dip).

IPC
720-02-01: xxxx Fxxx xx

DDM and PDM

Pick one for 03-01:

740/1-03-01: A800 xx - Master Enable for Auto Fold ONLY
740/1-03-01:
B800 xx - Master Enable for Auto Fold and Reverse Tilt/Dip
740/1-03-01: F800 xx - HEATED/DEFROST MIRRORS ONLY - Master Enable for Auto Fold and Reverse Tilt/Dip

AND

740/1-03-01:
xx4x xx - Adding a 4 after your mod choice above will enable the new Lincoln Style Autofold (OPTIONAL)

740/1-12-01: FCxx - Auto Fold
740/1-13-01: FCxx - Reverse Tilt/Dip

You may have to go into Mirror Settings under Vehicle in IPC to turn both these features on after changing code.
If AutoFold Mirrors doesn't work with these changes the DDM/PDM firmware on your truck may not support the feature.

To Use Reverse Side Mirror Dip:
Before shifting into reverse, select the mirror you want by pressing the left or right mirror control button. Then shift to reverse, it should dip.

- Feel free to let me know if both or either of these works for you or make a donation if you want!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
I just turned my truck in to the dealer for a week for warranty repairs and I'm traveling. I'm sure I can find some one in Calgary this week who will let me try this on their F150 in the meantime.

You still never sent me your address. I still feel I owe you a big glass bottle of Canada's finest maple syrup!

lol, I'm actually trying these things at work on day off while waiting in between email correspondence. Another day well wasted.

2014 Explorer Limited (Sons Car) has the parking lines that bend/turn with the direction you are turning the wheels. I would like that on my 13.

On the topic of mirrors I'm just thinking about how power fold functions in different ways with the same switch. It may help uncover how we can get away from individually selecting right or left only for auto dip.

An F150 for example:

With power fold & power scope mirrors. If you press the power fold button nothing happens right away, the mirrors both become active and wait for an input command from the '+' pad. Up & Down = power fold, left & right = power scope.

With power fold & NO power scope. if you press the power fold button both mirrors fold in right away.

So, I'm thinking that if you copy code from a Ford which has power scope enabled, then maybe auto dip might work on both mirrors at the same time if you press the power fold button before shifting into reverse.

I really have no idea, it's just that I can't test it physically at the moment so I'm trying to think of things to try.

Does anyone here know which bits or address changes enable power scope?
