FORScan - software to enable/disable features in your truck
Member
Hi All.
I picked up a ‘16 Lariat 5.0 I would like to make some changes on. My wife has a little Android pad, could I use it for FORScan? I am VERY computer illiterate but do tinker with apps etc. How do I check if the pad is capable of running FORscan?
Thanks guys.

Hey guys need some extended licence help. I downloaded the latest forscan (2.3.24) and then created the licence key per the video in the tutorial. When I try to implement the licence, the system restarts in about 2 seconds like it worked. When I try to open a module, it says I am unable as I don't have an extended licence. Any ideas? I have been trying to get this to work for 2 days and have read multiple threads and videos to make sure I didn't miss something.
Thanks!
Thanks!

You can only make changes using Windows. Sorry. There is a cheap windows tablet that some people have used. Moght be listed in the first post of the Forscan thread.

The dumb question is the one you didn't ask, and it bit you in the @$$ (*** and wallet)...

That makes more sense. I’ll check the Womans laptop when I get home. Thank you very much.
You can use it to view various engine and transmission information using an app like Torque. You can use it with FORScan Lite to view current settings, but the current software to make changes only runs on Windows 7 and up; tablet or laptop are easiest to use. Wired or bluetooth OBDII adapter also required; see first post in this thread and linked document tutorial. In addition, the Lite versions (with exception of Demo version) are paid versions with no trial license like the windows version. Hope this helps. Being a newbie and comp illiterate is no shame; ask questions if the tutorial isn't clear to you.

No but that is how I try and load the extended license I made. I have tried everything I can think of but the license will not save. It restarts like it will but every time I check it says to load the license key. Wasn’t sure if anyone else ever had this problem.
