You would need something like this hardwired in to locks or something like you are thinking: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Auto-Fold-Unfold-Side-Rear-View-Mirror-Folding-Closer-System-Module/
You won't be able to accomplish it with Forscan alone.

See can you locate the sensitivity module. On my 2015, it is located behind the brake pedal. It will be a small black box with a **** so you can adjust the shock sensitivity.

Thanks. This looks like something I needed to get. Didn’t think about inserting an overload protection, since I was mainly thinking about splicing it to the ignition harness. But it makes more sense to wire the UNFOLD command to OPEN door sensor, and the FOLD command to ignition OFF + CLOSE door sensor, come to think of the use-case.

ok I have a few questions...

just did all the backing up of the modules tonight and saved them all under Module.original.abt etc....

First, MY FORScan only found 19 modules on my 2018 XLT Sync 3. Does that sound right?

Second, while saving all of the addresses in the respective .abt file, there were some yellow exclamation points saying the code was too long can it couldn't write it so it left it out. Is that normal?

Last, why do we not want to save the very first PCM (AS Built) module...? I probably would answer my own question if I knew what the acronym was but if someone could shed some light on these it would be great!

So what now? Now that I have all of the "stock" modules saved, I can go and change the appropriate codes and addresses? And if I ever have doubts I can just"flash" (for lack of a better word) and load all stock codes back?

Just trying to make sure... I know my dumbass is going to **** something up.

PCM is the Power Control Module, which you cannot change with Forscan. If you would happen to need to restore a module to it's original state using one of your backup files, the procedure is explained in the tutorial. I know this all seems a little intimidating at first glance, but it's pretty easy and once you do a few changes, you'll see.

I am sure that someone will correct me if I am wrong, but.........

I seem to remember that ForScan won't read a file back in if the name has more than one period (".") in it. You need to rename all of those files to change that first period to something else, like "Module_original.abt" or "Module-original.abt".

So when does one HAVE to do the PCM relearn... ? After every edit in the modules?

Only if you change tire size or axle ratio in BCM otherwise not at all.

Edit: you also have to do TCM relearn with 2018s if you change either of those.

Ok that makes sense now...

I'm currently trying to figure out how I want to do this because I will be loading my 5* tunes I just got as well...I'm thinking it might be easier just to do that on the BDX rather than messing with it in FORscan...
