Default FCIM Failure

My Front Control Interface Module has stopped working for some reason. Checked all connections and they look fine. Radio and Sync screen work fine, but no power to the bezel...so no radio control (except for steering wheel) and no A/C/Heat.

Any ideas before i head to the dealer? Could there be a fuse out?

Thanks

Disconnect the battery negative post for 15 minutes and then put back on. This does a hard reset. It worked for me on my lower level system, all is well now.

I think this is a known problem with some early 2016 models but its the 1st I have heard of on a newer truck.

I have had it happen in the hot weather 2 times on my truck (I also get an airbag light in the dash) but have not seen it yet this year.

there is no real way to price them, let the ford dealer price it, as there is no way for the general public to get a price or obtain one unless you source a used one

but plan on spending at least 3-500 dollars for the part if not more

Check eBay, you can usually find one that matches the options on your truck for around $200.

Does it have to be an exact match? I can only find them with the extra options from mine.

Angry Ford F-150 FCIM Issue

Failure Ford has a known issue and Ford Needs to "Pony up to it". My 2016 F-150 Lariat 8 days after the warranty expired the FCIM "Front Control Interface Module" died. After talking to 2 dealers in the area and reading treads in the forum's. Ford has had this issue since early 2016 and has not addressed it. They say it a 3 week wait for the parts because they can not keep up with the demand. 8 days out of warranty and they treat it like it's my problem I don't feel this is right.
