I did swap out the FCIM from a junk yard a while back and it did not solve the issue.

Like many above, I have intermittent loss of control on my radio head (steering wheel controls fine), hvac, front windows, rear hatch, driver memory buttons. When these go down, the air bag light comes on and the outside temperature goes to ---. Occasionally I'll start the vehicle and all the systems will be a dead stick with no lights on the center unit. I'll have to pop the terminal off the battery to seemingly reset it.

Many thanks to those who could follow up with this since this thread is now a couple years old. Thanks!
Well, I'm the OP, and when I took it in they did a warranty replacement. Never told me what the problem was. Good luck!

2018 3.5 Lariat Max Tow / 133k miles / FCIM failed today

Dealer says: $996 all in for repair. Truck would NOT turn off. Drive mode unavailable, parking brake error, powertrain errors,... tow was $211
My deductible for my warranty is $150. Time to consider getting out of this truck before my warranty is up. (150k miles)

Truck has had over $11,000 in covered repairs since I bought it in late 2020.

Was this ever resolved? 2018 had same issue at dealer today national BO and a date of 00.00.00 for availability. No parts are available, is there another way to get this essential part? Like a different trim control and program to work, because my almost 7 yr old truck is basically useless and not able to even be traded at this point for any value. Dealer is absolutely no help and 75,000 is way too much for a new truck especially without any trade value.

Your best bet would be to get a used one from ebay, or get one from an Expedition (here's a thread)

I just started having this issue with my 2018 F150 Platinum 3.0 diesel. It seems to be intermittent at times but always starts with airbag light on dash.

I get a message in the app of “fault with the passenger air bag detection indicator.”

Several options shut down. Heat/AC controls, front power windows, power running boards, sometimes temperature display on screen, seat controls, radio volume on ****, but works on steering wheel etc.

Seems past couple morning it starts out as intermittent, then after a few times stays on the rest of the day.

I installed a new battery because original didn’t test great. Have unhooked battery for reset. Tried to clear DTC codes with forscan. Wiggle wires under passenger seat. Unconnected and connect connectors under passenger seat. Nothing seems to help. I have appointment to drop off to local dealer Wednesday.

This sounds like the classic issue due to water/condensation in the taillight/BLIS module or the wiring harness to the taillight.

Funny you say that, a couple of years ago I cracked a taillight and I think all these same
issues happened. I can’t fully remember.

I did notice that one of the fault codes was a right side crash sensor not found.

I will check that taillight. It was a replacement that had to be reprogrammed a few years ago

You can always give it a shot and try to glue the crack since these taillights cost an arm and a leg, but if the damage is already done, you might have to replace it.
